An Update on our Union City Campus

On July 16, a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in a staff member at our Union City community. The staff member is asymptomatic and quarantined at home. On July 17, a second staff member at our Union City community was diagnosed with COVID-19. That staff member is symptomatic and is quarantined at home and will be retested when their symptoms have resolved. Presently, no residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

We have notified public health officials and are following procedures recommended by the CDC. I want to reassure you that we have taken immediate steps to mitigate the spread of the illness, including contact tracing of the staff members and any residents in contact with the staff members, and a deep cleaning in all areas of the campus. There is no greater priority than the health and well-being of our residents and staff. Our thoughts are with our team members.

We took precautions early in the onset of this pandemic to safeguard our campuses, including taking the daily temperature of all residents and staff, being vigilant about monitoring for symptoms, and limiting visitors and staff on our campuses. We redouble our efforts today.
