The Masonic Homes of California and Acacia Creek Retirement Community care deeply about all residents, staff, and their families. We want to keep you informed about the status of Covid-19 on our campuses. Please check back for the latest information.
June 12 update
The week of June 9, we began testing the employees, vendors who spend significant time on our campus, and residents in our skilled nursing facility in Union City. On June 12, a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in a vendor there. The vendor is asymptomatic and quarantined at home. Presently, no residents or employees have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
We have notified public health officials and are following procedures recommended by the CDC. We have taken immediate steps to mitigate the spread of the illness, including contact tracing of the vendor and any residents in contact with the vendor, and a deep cleaning in all areas of the campus. There is no greater priority than the health and well-being of our residents and staff. Our thoughts are with our vendor.
We took precautions early in the onset of this pandemic to safeguard our campuses, including taking the daily temperature of all residents, vendors, and staff, being vigilant about monitoring for symptoms, and limiting visitors and staff on our campuses. We redouble our efforts today.
Our staff is working around the clock to keep our campuses safe and healthy. Please visit our webpage that outlines our policies as we live and work through this pandemic.
