Financial Assistance at Masonic Homes

Masonic Homes is committed to providing assistance to eligible Masons and their eligible family members. No Masonic-eligible prospective resident is turned away due to limited financial resources.  We work with each Masonic-eligible resident to provide a personalized financial assistance plan.  As a resident’s need changes, so does the assistance. No upfront payments or assignment of assets is required, and residents pay what they can on a monthly basis.

Masonic Eligibility

Residents must be 60 years or older and one of the following:

  • A California Mason, California Prince Hall Mason, or California Lodge in Exile of any level, in good standing for the last five years
  • The surviving spouse of an eligible California Mason, California Prince Hall Mason or California Lodge in Exile Mason
  • A parent or parent-in-law of a California Mason,  California Prince Hall Mason, or California Lodge in Exile Mason

You may not be eligible for financial assistance at the Masonic Homes if:

  • You have gifted assets or income within the past three years
  • You have certain medical or mental health conditions that prevent you from moving into the Masonic Homes, due to licensing regulations or the Masonic Homes’ ability to safely meet your care needs.

If you are not eligible for the Masonic Homes, Masonic Senior Outreach Services may be able to provide financial assistance at a different community.
