In the sunny San Gabriel Valley, just 30 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, the Masonic Home at Covina sits on 33 acres of a retired citrus ranch. Its scenic setting features wide expanses of lawn dotted with large native trees, characteristic of the beauty of Southern California.
Our campus is home to about 80 residents who live in comfortable one-bedroom apartments designed for independent and assisted living. Residents choose the Masonic Home at Covina for its intimate setting, vibrant quality of life, and perhaps most of all, the sense of community created by fellow residents and staff.

Services and Community Features
In Southern California’s mild year-round climate, Covina residents enjoy a sprawling park-like campus with barbecue and outdoor patio area, and comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for small or large groups.
The community’s 56 one-bedroom apartments feature:
- Full size kitchen
- Stove (in some independent living units), refrigerator and microwave
- Generous closet and storage space
- Sheltered private patio
- Weekly general housekeeping and linen service
- Annual heavy cleaning, along with apartment maintenance and utilities
- Free hook-up to basic cable or satellite TV, and high speed internet

- Call button for 24-hour emergency response

- Full service dining in a gracious dining room overlooking the park-like campus

Living Options
Independent Living
Our independent living option is dedicated to residents who can provide all of their own care (including those who use a walker or cane). Free from the demands of household chores, residents embrace retirement in the ways that matter most to them – surrounded by comfortable amenities, good neighbors, and a culture of successful aging.
Assisted Living
For those residents who require assistance with daily activities, our caregivers provide discreet, in-home support with tasks such as bathing, medication management, dressing, personal care, and mobility. With this level of care, residents can remain safe, empowered, and connected to the lifestyle they love.
Shared Housing
Our Shared Housing program through our Masonic Outreach Services program is here for seniors with a minimal income needing an economical living option in Covina for up to 14 residents in each home. These lovely, newly renovated homes include

- Large shared living rooms with cable TV
- Common kitchens with new appliances
- Furnished patio areas
- On-site laundry and parking

Pets are welcome at both of the Masonic Homes of California’s senior campuses in Union City and Covina! In keeping with our mission to make your life at the Masonic Homes fulfilling and joyful, we’re not just opening our doors to you, but also to your dogs, cats, and other furry companions. We understand that pets hold a special place in your heart. They are companions who offer unconditional love, endless comfort, and joyful moments. That’s why when you make a home with us, it includes the whole family, whiskers and all.
